Content Producer / Photographer
Sydney, St Leonards | Full Time

This junior/midweight role provides an opportunity for a dynamic and well-organized candidate looking to grow their experience in within an exciting global water sports clothing brand. The role will see you planning, organising and executing the many photography and video shoots needed through-out the year to create engaging content for web and online media, we need a team player with an absolute can-do attitude, who can adapt to changing timelines and workloads. The successful candidate will be working alongside the Marketing and Graphic Design team, as well as directly with the Product Development Team, making it a great opportunity to learn across several fields.

Key Responsibilities

• Join forces with our experienced graphics and marketing team to bring campaigns and ideas to life within multiple sporting segments, while consistently maintaining the brand’s style, quality and attitude.

• Plan and execute all major content requirements thought the year to achieve maximum results with optimal time for post processing.

• Organise and manage photo and video productions within our inhouse studio, or on location throughout Sydney and beyond. Including careful pre and post preparation of product.

• Work closely with a global network of photographers and freelance content creators to achieve consistent content for marketing purposes that flow into head office.

• Engage with our team of professional athletes in-order to maximise social collaborations and organic content, while also utilising them in our own campaigns when possible.

• Manage our inhouse studio and work closely with the internal team to fulfill any photography requests that arise.

• Take control of our social media platforms, with regular posting, planning, engagement and fresh ideas that bring new followers into our brand world and retain them.

• Produce behind-the-scenes footage and video that speaks to our audience and highlights our brand ethos and awareness.

• Book models, photographers and videographers within a budget, while managing overheads and any legal, copyright or permit requirements for each shoot. 

• Maintain a clear and easy to understand asset collection that can be easily used by the inhouse design team or our external partners and trade network.

• Liaise with our Product design team to better understand how to market the products we make and who they are made for.

• Edit RAW Photo and Video files into engaging content for social media and general marketing purposes.

Key Skillset:

• Experience in producing visual content for consumer products and clothing, used for paid advertisement, e-commerce sites and social media.

• Very strong communication skills, with a positive can-do attitude.

• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.

• Be able to work to a deadline and under pressure, managing and delivering multiple concurrent projects, or photoshoots that are time and budget sensitive.

• A problem solver, who can turn a limited amount of time and resources into a broad collection of assets.

• Skilled in at least the basics of Photography with a passion to create dynamic and compelling imagery that invokes consumers.

• Passionate to learn new skills and broaden your horizons in the world of sports apparel.

• At home in a studio or managing a photoshoot, with enough experience to avoid the basic problems that can arise.

• Able to photo edit, retouch, colour-correct and bringing products to life in programs like Photoshop or Lightroom.

• Video editing experience or motion graphic experience or knowledge in video recording, including equipment, cameras, microphones, tripods, lights, gimbles, drones and other related devices a big plus.

• Familiar with broadcast and copyright regulations, to ensure all content complies.

Graphic & Motion Designer (Junior/Midweight)

The successful candidate will be working alongside the Senior Graphic Designer and Digital Marketeer’s, as well as directly with the product development team, making it a great opportunity to learn across several fields.

Key Skills

• Producing creative design solutions within branding guidelines for print & web material including but not limited to; Product videos, advertisements, web images & banners, in-store & event signage, photography & photo editing, catalogues & other marketing resources.

• Working with the product development team, and using technical information and features to create, maintain and rework product documentation and point of sale, such as hangtags, packaging, sticker packs, diagrams, and technical design packs.

• Photo editing, retouching, colour correcting and bringing products to life in a vivid sports clothing environment for a youthful demographic.

• Experience in producing content that follows industry standards for paid advertisement, utilising graphics, motion design and video across all mediums, e-commerce sites and social media.

• A keen eye to turn a limited amount of time and resources into a broad collection of assets.

• Skilled in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects or other relevant editing software.

• Production skills including experience in organising photo and video shoots within an inhouse studio a plus.

• Knowledge of video recording equipment, including cameras (DSLR's), microphones, tripods, lights and other related devices a plus.

• Familiar with broadcast regulations, such as copyright, and ensure all content complies.

• Be able to work to a deadline and under pressure managing and delivering multiple concurrent projects.

• Experience with maintaining and updating e-commerce platforms such as Magento a bonus.

Customisation Design Lead
Sydney, St Leonards | Full Time

Reporting to Head of Design and Production you will act as liaison between Design, Sponsorships, Suppliers and Customer in the design and delivery of customised product and teamwear. Fulfilling the requirements of the customer, you will adapt existing products and create new designs for corporate sponsorships and teams.  

This is an emerging part of the Zhik business, as such your experience in the design and production landscape will help you to create an efficient model for customisation, communication with key stakeholders and the delivery of finished goods. Your design skills will be applied across a variety of products, including technical apparel, Footwear, Accessories, Sports equipment, safety gear and wetsuits.

In collaboration with our development team, you will lead the manufacture of customised goods with key suppliers and ensure products meet the high-quality and the sustainability expectations of the brand. You will maintain the systems and procedures of the customisation process and ensure the on-time delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead Customisation Projects: Oversee the end-to-end process of transforming Zhik’s product into customised product, ensuring all customer specifications are met.

• Design Coordination: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to create unique designs, including logo’s, decals, colours, and other custom features, aligned with brand guidelines and client preferences.

• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth communication and timely updates on project progress.

• Production Oversight: Manage the production of customised product, working closely with the production team to ensure quality standards and deadlines are met.

• Logistics & Delivery: Coordinate the final delivery of customised products, ensuring they are completed, packaged, and dispatched in line with client requirements and delivery schedules.

• Material & Stock Monitoring: Track material, trim levels, and stock requirements to ensure the timely availability of resources needed for customisation projects.

• Cost Management: Work closely with the production team to manage costing and address production limitations, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.

• Approval Processes: Oversee approval processes for design strike-offs, grading, and other customisation elements to maintain accuracy and consistency with customer requests.

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline customisation processes, increase efficiency, and improve product offerings in response to customer feedback and market trends.

Requirements:

• Relevant Tertiary qualification in Industrial Design, Apparel Design or relevant design field. 
• Strong understanding of technical performance goods; Apparel, equipment and footwear.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Designer in relevant field.
• Portfolio of previous work.
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (esp. Illustrator and Photoshop), including proficiency in vectoring and rendering art files.
• Strong graphic skills necessary.
• Excellent communication skills in showcasing ideas and concepts.
